It all begins with an idea…. or actually it begins after a terrible shift. Right?!?
I’m a Registered Nurse building ShiftProof Wellness to support nurses and shift workers facing chronic fatigue, disrupted sleep, and burnout from long and rotating schedules. Research consistently links shift-work characteristics (including inadequate staffing, limited breaks, and limited control over shift length) with higher burnout risk in nursing—confirming that exhaustion is often a predictable systems and physiology issue, not a personal failure. Evidence also shows that structured, skills-based interventions (including mindfulness-based programs) can improve burnout symptoms and sleep quality among nurses, supporting a practical pathway for recovery and long-term sustainability.
